Beluga WhalesThe Hudson Bay is a home to the worlds largest population of beluga whales. About 60,000 whales come to this area from the middle of June to the middle of September. The whales tend to be in the warmer water of the Churchill River once the icy water breaks up.. The whale population in this area is relatively stable due to the fact that there are only two natural predators in the area. You are given the opportunity to go out in a boat, or actually get in the water, and kayak or snorkel with the beluga whales.
